Tawong Lipod (Tagalog,Bicolano and Visayan myth) Tawong Lipod are the wind elementals or spirit of the clouds and waters in Philippine mythology.

 the wind people in Philippine folklore (specially in Bicol) are described as attractive and lithe human looking creatures. has the power create or control winds.
believed to be the "apid" (handmaidens) of the diwata Anitun Tabu and diwata Alunsina.
In other variants of stories the Taong Lipod was known to have enticed Haliya and Bulan do go down to bathe in the waters of the earth. Some sotries say that the wife of Raja Karilaya of the Tagalogs took a taong Lipod for a wife and had the son, Datu Panganoron or Ulap who possesed the abilities of the wind people. 
They are believed to help people in need if they deserve it and punish the wrong by sending strong gust of winds 
they entertain and sometimes seduce gods and men. As ethereal beings who inhabit the skies, and are often depicted taking flight, or at service of a god and goddesses  Moder myths and stories about Tawong Lipod take scary turn, with most stories depicting them as unseen or invisble evil Engkanto that harms people.
